Simpsons interview related pictures
Description
The first image is of an older man playing with his grand children. This reminded me of my point from the top five that talked about Grandpa Simpson and that, even though he is usually a comedy character, his situation is actually quite sad.
The next two images are related. One is a Confederate soldier from the civil war and the other is a Union soldier. These remind me of points 2 and 3 from my interview top 5, which is that each interviewee had a different opinion on whether or not families could survive dysfunctional moments and still come together in the end to form a loving family, like the Simpsons do. It reminded me of these pictures because it was a very dysfunctional moment in American history that we could have never come back from, but eventually we did.
