-People relate to each Batman differently. While they might be the same character, they are perceived as very much different entities. People have very different relations with each, each with different levels of nostalgia. ***nostalgia

-Both of my interviewees believe that the 1960’s Batman TV show knew that they were cheesy and campy, but that this is what they aimed for. ***different but personal

-When I asked them if their first experience with Batman made them more eager to see other people’s perspective of Batman or if hindered their later experiences and made them biased, they differed in their answers. My first interviewee believed that it did make him biased, because his first experience with Batman is what he compared everything else too and also because not everything just “felt” the same to him. My second interviewee said that it made him more excited to see what other people interpreted the characters as, even if he did decided later that he did not like them. ***different perspective

-We got on the topic of why people really relate to Batman so much, possibly more than other superheroes. It was pointed out that his character and world is so fascinating because TECHNICALLY, it could happen. His story is set a part in that way from Superman, the Green Lantern, Spiderman, etc. ***dream

-One of my interviewees also pointed out that their branding extends pasts almost all other superhero brands. Most people that buy other superhero brands have some true affiliation or love for the brand and character, where as people will sometimes buy the Batman brand because of society’s deep affiliation with the brand, even if they have not yet developed one. ***extension of brand relationship

Obama – different perspective
Old house – nostalgia
Ellis Island photograph – dream
1st bond girl – extension of brand relationship
old time group photo – different but purposeful
