0:05 - If you pay close attention you see the finally frame of the countdown to be a 2. The countdown has a purpose besides showing the audience that their film is about to begin. It's called a "SMPTE Universal Leader", and in the mid-1960s replaced the Academy Leader. It was designed for both TV and theater and a countdown from 8 to 2 measured in seconds instead of feet like earlier film leaders. On the four count the letters "C C F F" appear signalling a control frame.
